Soils
Lunlunta is on the North Margin of the Mendoza River, with loamy soils of mid depth.
Paraje Altamira is on the alluvial cone of the Tunuyan River, with soils of variable depth and high content of alluvial pebbles covered in calcium.
Weather
Harsh Winters and warm Summers with mild to warm days and cold nights.
The thermal amplitude is of 15°C which helps the grapes develop good colour and tannins.
Harvest
Manual harvest between the first week of March (Cabernet Sauvignon) and the first week of April (Petit Verdot). Grapes were then taken to the Winery in 400kg boxes.Winemaking
Traditional vinification, caps are subject to pumping-over,punching-down and délestage. The free-run wine was separated from the press wine and varietals were aged in Barrels for 6 months separately, after which the blend was made and aged for another 6 months. The Barrels used were French and American, 40% new.ABV
