Terroir & VinificationTwo contrasting terroirs help realise the complexity of 'Fiona' Chardonnay. Vines grown on clay-sand parcels influence the wine's finesse; other vines grown on argilo-limestone soils impact the power and volume of the cuvée. The vineyard itself is on sloping stony terraces, and the best grapes are selected from its different plots. After pressing, cold fermentation follows, and we use selected yeasts to help attain the delicate aromas found in the finished product.
Colour: bright yellow with gold reflections.
Nose: floral aromas, stone fruits, hazelnut, toast and vanilla.
Palate: delicate floral notes follow white peach and apricot, completing a sense of balance, refinement. The generous finish lengthens to roasted notes, hints of wood smoke.
